The little cafe on Jalan Green Hall.
It was rainy day in Georgetown when my sister and I found ourselves perched on the front steps of the Penang State Museum, wondering what we would have for lunch. After a long morning of strolling through the heritage city, we were truly famished. The rain posed a problem, though and we decided to find somewhere nearby to eat. I found Just Caffe through a quick Google search, and the website we found described it as a good place for sandwiches.
We eventually found it down Jalan Green Hall, opposite the Segi College building. It was a quaint little spot, nestled on the ground floor of an office building, a collection of potted plants stationed like a mini oasis behind a row of parked motorcycles.

Inside the cafe.
We visited in December, so the interior was reflective of the season; a Christmas tree stood front and centre. The cafe isn't very big, with a few tables indoors and a couple outside amongst the plants. Very cosy.

The cafe menu.
Drinks are their specialty, as you can see from the menu. I had some of their passion fruit soda, which was just OK - maybe a bit too much soda water in comparison to the syrup. Unfortunately, I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't comment on the brew here. But if you happen to drop by, do share your thoughts in the comments section below!
Though they are called Just Caffe, it's not only coffee and drinks. Their food menu has some variety as well.

Beef bacon egg panini.
My sister ordered the beef bacon and egg panini, one of the dishes I found as a recommendation in the website we had found earlier. What a great choice! The bread was crisp and buttery, and the combination of crispy bacon and gooey egg was divine. Definitely a must try.

Pesto pasta.
As for myself, I went with the pesto pasta - I can never resist trying pesto anywhere I go. The serving was not great, but the pesto sauce was light and fragrant, just how I like it. If I came here again though, I would definitely go with a sandwich.

On the wall.
Overall, a really lovely spot to enjoy a peaceful lunch while hiding away from the tropical downpour. I cannot say how it must be like during the weekends at peak hours, but on this quiet weekday, Just Caffe really hit the spot.
