There's few more exciting things to do than wake up with a lion staring at you. But this is exactly what can occur soon in Canberra.



Set to rival some of the great experiences around the world, The National Zoo and Aquarium Canberra is currently creating an amazing new hotel style experience of sleeping with the animals.

They are calling these rooms 'jungle bungalows' and you can choose between a ground level one with the lions or a tree-top one with the giraffes.



To keep you all safe, the family oriented bungalow rooms have sturdy glass walls looking into the zoo's big cat enclosure.

The giraffe tree houses will be built within the giraffe enclosure, where the children (and you) will even be able to hand feed the giraffes.

A little bit for those with deep pockets, the tree houses, are estimated to cost around $300 per person per night, however, it is a truly unique experience.

The project is estimated to be completed around mid to late 2014.
