Writing, films, travel, family, friends, yoga, cafes, fun, books and music. That's what life is all about.

Recently a big change for children and parents happened in the inner-west suburb of Five Dock. The well-known and much-loved Corner Cubbyhouse play centre closed for the month of August. It reopened in September, bright, clean, completely refurbished and ready for action.
Under new management, the layout has been revamped; its equipment is pristine and exciting and caters for various ages. The centre is spaciously well-laid out with a separate section for toddlers and for those older and more adventurous there is a cannon foam ball section, climbing structures and big colourful slides.
In order to promote fitness as well as fun, its cafe offers healthy food such as smoothies, yoghurts, salads and fruit so that children learn that food is important in helping them play and grow. Hot food includes toasted sandwiches, quesadillas and fresh pizzas from Haberfield Pizzeria. There is a separate children's menu which is a healthy step up from the usual set of dining options. It includes healthy snacks such as hummus with carrots and celery. Thankfully there is a 'sometimes food' section on the menu for the parents who just need a bit of nurturing while they sit and breathe or children who need bribing to stay still or listen. It includes delights such as brownies, natural ice-cream and tea cakes.
Jungle Buddies is definitely a fun, safe clean place for both kiddies and parents to visit. They are open 9.30 until 5pm weekdays and weekends. Their address is Level 2, 97 Queens Rd, Five Dock, 1300 883 819.
