I have to say I'm a big fan of soft play to help my toddler burn off some energy. And in Ciwalk Mall in the north of Bandung, you'll find two great options. For now, I'll just share one of them with you. Yes, there's a third play area but that's simply an arcade. Perhaps a good option for older children or letting your toddlers sit on them during demo mode as a bit of excitement!
Most days my toddler and I visit Jump 'n Gym which is located on the top floor near the front of the main building, within Ciwalk Mall. Firstly, don't forget your socks. Although you can buy some if needed for around 10,000 IDR. The reason I like to come here with younger children is that there are two small sections to it. Firstly, for smaller children, they can play in this quieter area. A simple 'castle' slide, ball pool and toy house are the main features. And a small sit on cart that rolls a long a 'roller-coaster' track.

The smaller area for younger children
The main part of the soft play features a large climbing frame, with small zip wire and three slides into a ball pit. There's a trampoline and small free space which I normally play ball games with my toddler.

The larger play area with small tree house
I think the fees, as pictured are very good. And although it's not my thing, you do have the option of leaving your children there so you can enjoy a peaceful shop without them. Have to say, I don't use it but I see that lots of parents do this.

One thing to mention about the staff. It's a funny thing to say, and a shock to me, but I found them to be very very helpful. Where I am from there's so much safeguarding I wasn't used to staff being so hands on. But you'll find them positioned at all points of 'difficulty' like the trampoline, any steps and also at the gate system to help your child climb on or off things. Once I got used to this fact it meant that I didn't have to climb and squeeze through the jungle gym with my toddler. I mean unless I wanted to…. It's a real plus and made me relax more.
For more information on Ciwalk be sure to take a look at my other features and see their website.
Have you been to Jump 'n Gym? What do you think of the soft plays in Bandung? Let me know.
