Do you often find yourself late on a Friday night, staring aimlessly into the fridge looking for something that will satisfy your sweet tooth, but it's far too late to cook an elaborate, MasterChef, dessert? Well, this recipe is the answer to all your craving related problems! It's so easy and incredibly delicious! It also uses ingredients that are more than likely already in your pantry, so there's no need for shopping or planning ahead- you can just whip a batch up whenever you please...

Ingredients:

150g, butter/margarine
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg
2 cups of plain flower
1 cup of chocolate, chopped/chocolate melts

Materials usually needed:

Method:

Preheat oven to 160 degrees and line two baking trays with non stick baking paper. Beat 150g of butter and 1 cup of sugar for 1-2 minutes or until pale and smooth.

Add a tsp of vanilla essence...

Add in one egg....

Stop the beater, take the beaters off and fold in 2 cups of flour...

stir in chocolate melts/chopped up chocolate...

using two soup spoons, spoon mixture onto the tray- two spoons full of batter for each cookie. One tray should fit four cookies on each, so make sure there is one cookie for each corner of the tray- remember, these cookies spread like there's no tomorrow inside the heat of the oven.....

Bake for 20 minutes or until light and golden and not hard but stiff. Cool down on a wire rack or plate and store in an air tight container for up to 1 week.
ENJOY! Bon Appetit!
