Julie Wright Poetry Workshop – Poetic Lessons in Love



Back by popular demand, local poet, publisher, and teacher, Julie Wright, will explore poetic lessons in love and many types of love that live at the core of our human relationships. This event will be held at Marion Cultural Centre - Sturt Room, 287 Diagonal Road, Oaklands Park, on Saturday, 15 April 2023, starting from 10am to 12noon.

Learn from Julie powerful techniques to express the pleasure and pain of your own lesson in love. You can also look at what others have written and the devices they have employed to engage the reader's heart and mind. This workshop will help you to draw on your own experiences of love: the joys, the challenges, the losses, the betrayals, the triumphs, and the sustaining strengths. You will practice how to use the highs and lows of this powerful emotion to create poems that transform your own personal experiences into works that will impact others.
