Julian Reddish is a unique and inspiring person who wears different hats in life. He is a Sydney-based fashion designer who makes beautifully handmade scarves and also runs a private cafe (Invitation to Julian's) from his home, serving gourmet 3-course meal using fresh local produce.

We had spoken briefly over the phone and through our conversation, Julian shared passionately about his work and interests in fashion, food and coffee. It was a long journey and lots of hard work recovering from a stroke at the age of 17.

Julian explained that through many years of therapy, he regained strength and ability to do things with his right hand. Making scarves has helped his long rehabilitation both mentally and physically.

The Julian Reddish label scarves are all original, unique and made from high-end off-cut fabrics from his fashion designer mum's label, Kathleen Berney. It's 100% made in Australia with up-cycled new off cuts, left over and sampling fabrics.

Today his scarves are sold through his online store as well as stockists in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and ACT. If you are interested to purchase one of his unique scarves, visit for more information. Oh, and don't forget to watch the short introductory video.

(Note: Personally, I truly admire the determination, enthusiasm and persistence demonstrated by Julian. His achievements despite the challenges in life is very inspiring. Wish him every success and all the very best.)
