Gelato and the beach
For anyone looking for a place to catch up with friends or simply enjoy the surroundings, on the busy strip of the strand here in Townsville is a lovely small gelato store that overlooks the ocean. Juliette's have been around for a while and during that time has undergone makeovers but the current retro look and feel is perfect.
Most people might guess an ice creamery on a tropical beach would have a more laid back approach however the red and white classic café blends in quite well. It is almost a mash of dainty café meets alfresco dinning with ample space out the front scattered with wicker chairs and a cool breeze.
Of course, cute chairs and styling is all well and good but useless if the gelato itself is no good. Luckily, Juliette's have a collection of gelato and sorbet to suit all tastes and cravings.
Some of the selection include exotic salsa, amaretto, pistachio and roasted almond plus green apple and mango sorbet. If they sounds too adventurous for some then there is always the classic flavours of chocolate and vanilla.
Another great thing about Juliette's is you don't have to settle for gelato if you are not in the mood as it offers a range of food and drinks. It also has all day breakfast plus a great lunch menu on offer. Not to mention the cakes, tarts biscuits and treats fill the cabinet while lists juices, smoothies, milkshakes and frappes cover the walls.
So if it's beach views and gelato you're craving head to Juliette's for a great time.
