Crammed full of the most innovative performances and shows, this is a month not to miss at the Judith Wright Centre for Contemporary Art.
Part of the reason is the "Fresh Ground" artists in residence programme which supports Queensland artists, helping them to bring their work to a wider audience and enabling them to pursue their goals in the arts.
For those that may be interested to learn more about this programme, you can go to an Information session on Tuesday the 5th of May at 5.30pm.

Now to the May programme, which promises much.
Luke Jaaniste, who performed at the Judy as part of the Fresh Ground residency returns in May with his Autumn Festival. This is described as an immersive sonic experience allowing you to control how sound interacts with your body and soul.
Ian Parsons who attended his Summer Festival and said that he found it "mesmerizing, even meditative, but at the same time invigorating, bursting with unbridled energy … one of the most immersive musical experiences I've ever had."
He is performing on Friday the 8th and Sat the 9th of May. Tickets $30-$15.
Babushka brings DOLL to the Stage.
Babushka is brought to the stage by Little Black Dress Creatives and it features Alicia Cush, Bethan Ellesmore and Judy Hainsworth. This particular production is about a play-date with some of your favourite dolls, which should make you laugh, throw you back in time and raise some interesting questions.
On the programme there was a note saying "Batteries sold separately" which made me laugh out loud.
