Yesterday I took a little stroll down to Eagle Street Pier to get some inspiration for lunch. Like everywhere in the city at the moment, this spot is constantly changing and there seems to be something new there every couple of months.

[ADVERT]On the left, after you walk up the steps past Jade Buddha, is a cute little spot called . The décor and atmosphere is quite relaxed and you're immediately greeted by the friendly staff.

The menu selection is a bit naughty (burgers, fish and chips) but they sell it to you in a way that it's more of an indulgence rather than an excuse to spend another hour at the gym.

The meal my friend and I chose was the Jude ball combo where you could choose two different scrumptious balls (similar to arancinis) such as risotto, Mongolian lamb or Thai chicken. With the two, you can choose to have one or two of their mouth watering salads.

We were given a buzzer and after a short wait, our food was ready. The meal I picked up was served in a takeaway container which I think is really clever - especially if you can't finish it all. I had the Thai Chicken and Thai Fish balls with a beetroot and fetta salad and it was presented simply but full of flavour. The chilli had a bit of zing to it and it was very fresh and satisfying.

I really enjoyed the almost rustic decor of this place and the they delivered and presented the food. This would be a perfect little spot to catch up with a couple of friends or that special someone.
I think I might pop down there on Friday night with a couple of friends for their tapas package.
