**This spring, Deadhouse Productions presents Juanita Nielsen: The Final Days, the chilling fourth instalment of its acclaimed immersive theatre series.**

For centuries, city morgues were known as deadhouses. Between 1854 and 1972, Sydney's deadhouse was the Sydney Morgue and Coroner's Court in The Rocks. Thousands of grim tales of murder and unexplained death passed through the site and into Sydney's history.

Staged in a 200-year-old crypt beneath the St James’ Church in Sydney, this immersive Deadhouse theatre experience will transport audiences back in time, through the crypt's eerie neo-gothic tunnel and branches, to witness the stories behind some of this city's most infamous and often inspiring personalities.

Juanita Nielsen: The Final Days is an engrossing tale of corruption, violence, passion and heroism in the 70s' which recounts the final crucial moments in Juanita’s fight to protect Victoria Street.

Threatening phone calls, stolen documents and hidden romances leave an indelible imprint on the lives of those who loved her and those who sought to silence Sydney’s fiercest journalist.

In her absence, a community is torn and her legacy is left to those who lived to tell the tale.
