Step into a different world, a place of tranquillity and beautifully designed outdoor spaces. That's what you'll find when you enter Toowoomba's Japanese Garden.

Located at the University of Southern Queensland's Toowoomba campus, the garden incorporates traditional Japanese elements such as bamboo and raked sand gardens, gorgeous oriental statues, wooden bridges and waterfalls.

It is the perfect place for a quiet picnic, a light stroll under the trees or just to collect your thoughts. Children will love feeding the ducks, geese and turtles and exploring the many winding paths leading to waterways and elegant bridges.

You can access the garden from 7am to dusk all year round via Regent street, or enter through the university grounds via West street.

There is plenty of free parking available, or you may wish to take a bus which will deliver you right to the main gate.

Entry is free or by gold coin donation at the entrance.
