Self expression through art leaves mental health mark
Exhibiting artists of the 23rd Annual MIFQ, 'Journey Through My Mind,' Art Exhibition, would like to invite you to join them in an artistic exploration of living with a mental illness and help launch Schizophrenia Awareness Week 2014.

The 'Journey through my Mind' Art Exhibition will feature David Jones, Laurence Baird and Sandimay Knight.

Lee Steer, owner of REDSEA Gallery will curate this MIFQ Art Exhibition for the third consecutive year running.

Approximately 170 artists from across Queensland will exhibit their artistic achievements, with works available for purchase from $20 to $2,000.

Enjoy time out with family and friends and help to raise awareness of the issues facing people living with mental illness in our community.

The 'Journey through my Mind' Art Exhibition will open to the public from Saturday 10 May and run until Thursday 15 May 2014.

Dates: Saturday 10 May - Thursday 15 May, 2014
Time: 10am - 4pm (Sat & Sun), 9am - 5.30pm (Mon - Thurs)
Venue: White marquee, King George Square, Brisbane CBD
Cost: Entry is by gold coin donation.


Opening Night Cocktail Party
Be there for the launch of the 'Journey through my Mind' Art Exhibition and help celebrate at the Opening Cocktail Party. This event will have speeches by special guests and dignitaries and marks the official opening of Schizophrenia Awareness Week 2014.

Sip on a delicious cocktail while viewing the range of artworks on offer and mingle with exhibiting artists too.

Chat with supporters, sponsors and local businesses from across this inspiring community of people who generously and actively support Mental Illness Fellowship Queensland (MIFQ) and their events.

This will be your first opportunity to purchase original artwork. There will be over 300 pieces and prices range from $20 to $2,000.

Previous years have seen numerous pieces purchased by overseas buyers and well known Brisbane organisations. Show your support by coming along, snap up your own original artwork and help raise community awareness of mental illness!

Interactive Message Wall - What's on your mind?
This is your chance to make your mark and leave messages on the MIFQ interactive wall. Write up and share your thoughts on this innovative space; write from your heart.

MIFQ aim to collect over 3000 messages to create a visual representation of the hearts and minds of the Brisbane Community.

So, don't be shy, come to the White marquee and write your special message on the interactive message wall!
