UnchARTed Collective is hosting a unique 'Journaling Through a Sketchbook' workshop on Sunday 30th August 2015.
This interactive workshop will run from 10am to 1pm at the Mt Lawley Studio.
The workshop will be facilitated by WA artist Vicki Baker who has six years of art education achieving a BA Honours in Silversmithing and Metal Work from The London Institute of Art and Design. She is also self taught in watercolour, acrylics and pencil mediums creating both stunningly detailed fine art works and abstracts. Vicki has also exhibited internationally and in Perth.
In this interactive workshop, Vicki will teach participants how to fill their sketchbooks with exciting responses to one's environment, thoughts and feelings.
Participants will be encouraged to keep their drawings 'quick and loose', focusing on exploration rather than producing realistic drawings. In particular, Vicki will run participants through a number of exercises centring on colour, shape, contour drawing, typography and more.
The result will be a collection of great creative ideas and techniques one can continue to develop and experiment with.
The workshop will be held in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere, with tea/coffee and a slice of cake served as part of the experience.
The class will be limited to a small number of participants only and early bookings are advised.
To make a booking, please click here. The all inclusive price is $119 per person.
Participants will also receive a 10% DISCOUNT storewide at the UnchARTed Collective shop on the day!
