The Josh Moore Martial Arts School teaches children and adults confidence, self improvement, to focus as well as fitness and self defence.

This is done through a number of styles of martial arts covering Tae Kwon Do (Korean oriented), Ju Jitsu (Brazilian style), Kali sticks (Filipino weapons) with Western style boxing.

Young black belt student in training

Josh Moore, who is a current 4th Dan black belt (going for his 5th Dan black belt later this year), has been teaching martial arts for the last 7 years. He gained his 1st Dan black belt from Jan de Jong School in Perh at age 11.

He has two schools in the northern suburbs - one at Wangara and another at Ellenbrook. A third school will be opening at Carramar later this year.

It takes on average 4 years to gain a 1st Dan black belt. All students have the opportunity to test their skills through tournaments with other clubs.

His schools have held demonstrations at the Joondalup Festival and school fetes. Students age range from 4 years old to 50 years old.

Social activities are also included with children s games nights held regularly.
