Driving from Launceston city centre through to the airport is a fairly short journey of about 30 minutes. So why not leave that little bit earlier and stop off at the beautiful . The winery is on route between Launceston and the airport and provides the perfect way to relax before boarding your flight...or it could even be a lovely introduction to Launceston if you happen to be collecting someone from the airport.

The cellar door is open seven days a week from 10am until 5pm as well as offering a dinner service on a Fri & Sat from 7pm onwards.

When arriving at the vineyard, guests are encouraged to explore the picturesque grounds and admire the natural beauty. You're able to either remain in the main building or perhaps take a seat on the verandah, or you could even take a light strolll along the garden paths and become lost in the sights smells and sounds of all that the winery has to offer.

As well as appreciating the great wine and physical appearence of the grounds, it's worth learning about the history of Mr Josef Chromy as well. His biography is provided at the vineyard and involves escaping Nazi occupied Europe as a 19 year old with not a penny to his name to arriving in Australia and then becoming a genuine "rags to riches" success. His resiliance and attitude towards life is really inspiring and when leaving the winnery you'll have a new respect, not just for the quality of the vineyard, but for the man who created it.
