On Sunday, 1 May, the City of Joondalup and Inclusion WA present Community Connect , a free community event where you can meet some fun clubs and recreational groups, appreciate the talent of local performers, and have a bite to eat from local vendors at Sorrento who will have tasty food for sale. Run from 10.00am to 1.00pm, it will be a pleasant way to while away a couple of hours and, who knows, you might just find the right club for you.

The objective of the Community Connect Sport and Recreation Program is to train, mentor and empower local clubs to be more inclusive with the aim of welcoming all community members.



Clubs and groups planning to be at the event include:
• Joondalup Lakers Hockey Club;
• Catch Music;
• Forte-Joondalup;
• Swing Fit;
• Joondalup Volunteer Resource Centre;
• Joondalup Entertainers Theatre School (JETS);
• ATI Martial Arts Community;
• Volleyball WA;
• Northern Stars Volleyball Club;
• Toddlers, Tutus & Tambourines;
• Meerilinga Children & Family Centre;
• Shobukan Martial Arts;
• Fencing WA;
• Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club;
• Badminton Western Australia; and
• Befriend Inc.

After the event, stay awhile to enjoy Hillarys Boat Harbour and take a walk along the beach.
