Food and words.

As the name suggests, Jones the Grocer, is somewhere you can head if you want to restock the pantry. What you might not know is that it's also a great place to sit down and enjoy some good food. This King William Road eatery has some great gourmet options for breakfast or lunch, or stocks of delicious gourmet ingredients for you to eat well at home.

Jones the Grocer handle the mix of cafe and grocery perfectly. There is ample room to enjoy your meal, as well as a well laid out selection of products. If you can grab a seat in their outdoor area, protected from the elements by cafe blinds it is a great area to catch some afternoon sun. Depending on the size of your group, tables can be moved to accommodate large groups or intimate couples. They do get quite busy, especially on weekends, so make sure you book.

Breakfast at Jones the Grocer includes all the usuals, plus a few special treats. From something a bit different try the banana, pistachio, and sunflower bread with honey butter, or the bacon pancakes topped with bacon, roast tomato, avocado, and sour cream. If you bring the kids along they can enjoy simple options like toast and eggs, or toast with jam or Vegemite, if their tastebuds aren't quite into more exotic options. You'll also be able to enjoy a great range of meals for lunch, including platters and tasty sandwiches.

There are a range of drinks to help you complement your meal. Choose from a range of coffees, teas, or chocolates, or enjoy one of their freshly squeezed juices. Check with them to see what flavours are on offer, as they can change daily. Kids will love enjoying a milkshake with their meal, as will the young at heart.

If Jones the Grocer is where you plan to do your shopping you'll be delighted by the range available that you can't find in your regular supermarket. Think fresh organic pasta, delicious breads, flavourful pasta sauces, as well as a whole load more. The highlight of shopping here is the cheese room, if you're an avid turophile (a cheese lover) then this will be a dream come true. Browse through the cold room filled with cheese and find some new and exciting cheeses to take home.

Whether you're looking for a spot to grab some breakfast or lunch, or have a special meal that requires special ingredients, pop into Jones the Grocer. If you're a fan of their Adelaide store, you might want to pop into other stores interstate or overseas. Check out their website to find other Jones the Grocer locations.
