Off The Kerb Gallery is showcasing a powerful exhibition by contemporary artist Jonathon Harris. It will showcase until 31 January 2019.

'I Have a Tale to Tell' is built from memory, innocence, politics and celebration, inspired by actions for and against the LGBTQI community.

It begins with memories of Jonathon's first UK protest march in 1987 at 14 years old. The artwork represents moments from the worldwide reaction to the AIDS epidemic, Margaret Thatcher's government, introducing 'Clause/Section 28' to ban the promotion of homosexuality in schools (painting queer people as second class citizens by law), and personally adopted icons to make the world a safer place.

Created from plexi-glass, one of the panels includes Scott (Jason Donovan) and Charlene's (Kylie Minogue) wedding and in the piece 'Jason Donovan Gave Good Face' and artwork is rearranged for modern times.

Visit Off The Kerb Gallery to be inspired as it will remind you that everything we do now, shows where we have been and that words have power.
