Tis the season of school fetes and 2018 marks the inaugural Twilight Fete for Jolimont Primary School, located in the little-known suburb sandwiched between Subiaco and Wembley.

Perfectly timed at the start of December, before the madness of Christmas really gets started, the fete will be a combination of market stalls and prizes, fun games and rides, and a relaxing pop-up bar, music and food.

With just a few weeks until Christmas, the Twilight Fete will have plenty of Christmas gifts with handmade crafts created by members of the school community, a pet stall with Christmas gifts for your pampered pooch, and an enormous white elephant stall with books, toys, sporting equipment, dress-ups and more.

The Jolimont Year 1s and 2s have been lovingly planting and tending to a range of succulents while the Year 6s will be selling temporary tattoos and lucky dips. Kids can decorate their own gingerbread while adults can order a special gourmet hamper from The Grocer.



The art stall will be selling paintings by local artists as well as prints of the artwork created by the kids, there are also stalls selling delicious jams and preserves, flowers and a sustainability stall run by the school's Year 6 Sustainability Counsellors.

If you love to try your luck, there will be a huge tombola stand where the prizes include everything from jars of stickers to cold hard cash. There will be raffle hampers and a silent auction with great prizes including an overnight stay at a 5 star Perth hotel, swimming lessons, spa treatments, gift vouchers and a signed Western Force jersey.

There will even be a huge 10-foot trampoline being raffled – how about that for a great Christmas surprise?

As it's a school fete, you will also find old favourites such a crazy hair stall and side-show alley games, alongside a less-traditional petting zoo featuring all Aussie animals – where you will be able to have a photo taken with a koala. There will also be a games zone with a massive inflatable obstacle course, zorb ball arena, sumo suits, dunk tank and a bouncy castle.



If you want to take a break from the excitement, parents will enjoy the pop-up bar with gourmet platters, while listening to the talented Jolimont buskers and a performance from the School of Rock. Kids can play on the brand new Nature Playground or make slime.

There will be a range of food options including hot roast rolls, nachos and toasted sandwiches as well as the ever-popular sausage sizzle and Sizzler Cheese Toast. Wash it down with home-made lemonade or a slushy and finish the night by stopping by the dessert stall.
