The Biggest Pizza ever
Would you believe pizza was originally the 'poor man's food' in Italy? With just one or two toppings, it was considered simple food. Isn't that interesting considering what pizza has now become today! With so many varieties and flavours, I don't know anyone who doesn't eat pizza.
Johnny's is literally the pizza place next door. Not posh, or fancy, but it's like coming home for dinner. And the pizzas include traditional flavours such as four seasons, supreme, satay varieties, margarita, marinara, Mexican, napoli and vegetarian.
Then there's the gourmet varieties, which are not only delicious but also fantastically unique in flavour, including five vegetarian flavours alone. Uh- huh. Is't that great! The veggie flavours are el paso, healthy karma, jakarta, tuscany and CMC. Nope, you wouldn't have heard of these anywhere else.
Told you they were unique. There are other gourmet flavours too of course, such as ten chicken pizzas and nine meat pizzas.
Johnny's staff are welcoming and warm, and whilst most people tend to order pizzas as take- away, there is room for twenty or so people for a sit down restaurant style meal. The service is also pretty quick considering everything is made from scratch, made to order.
But the thing that makes Johnny's the most special pizza place is that you can get giant size pizzas that I personally haven't seen anywhere else. The 'small' pizza at Johnny's is bigger than an entree pizza anywhere else- 6 pieces; and the 'medium' pizza is a large pizza anywhere else with 8 pieces.
But it doesn't stop there- theres the 'large' pizza (12 pieces), the 'family' pizza 16 pieces or.... wait for it....... the 'Big one'. Yup, that's right, the big one is literally 16 pieces or 25 inches... it is absolutely huge. The price ranges from $16 for the small to $70 for the big one. But considering it can probably feed at least two families if not more, that's a pretty good deal really.
Johnny's also serve salads, ribs, drinks and some really yummy 'bits and pizzas' such as garlic and cheese pizza, herb and chess, and zoubeh; I absolutely love zoubeh, it basically comprises of delicious mediterranean herbs on soft flavoursome bread. It's fantastic as a starter.
Definitely one of my favourite joints to hang out with mates on any night out really. Whether you take away or eat in, it's still delicious pizza.. win win.
