Jo-Jo's was originally opened as a small café for the customers of stylist and owner, Stephan Since then it has expanded and changed a few times, with the Brisbane City Council approving the outside addition of the wraparound balcony. This has given the restaurant additional seating capacity, being able to hold over 400 people.
And you know how difficult it can be to find a restaurant that caters to a group of different taste buds. Well Jo-Jo's is brilliant in its menu design. Everyone will certainly find something that they like to eat.
Uncle Dave can have his seafood, Mom and the twins can have their pizza, you and your hubby can have Thai and your cousin Liam can have gluten free. Vegetarians and sweet tooth's alike will be happy with the variety. Everyone can either share or have their own desserts.
Once you have decided what fare you will have, you go to any of the counters, place your order and it will be brought to you promptly. You can linger with drinks or be in and out quickly to get to that show you are seeing.
You can also come early for coffee and check out the new waffle and chocolate station. Jo-Jo's is open every day from 9:30am but the kitchen opens at 10:30am. You can explore the menu and mull over choices for the next time you come.
The design is flashy with a retro touch; the marble shines. And touches of Elvis, Marilyn, Audrey and Humphrey Bogart can be found.
You can sit under a canopy of blue illumination in the lounge, inside the restaurant or out on the balcony where, if you time it right, you can also be entertained by the many buskers that frequent Queen Street.
