From the Jaipur Literature Festival
As part of the OzAsia Festival and from the producer of the Jaipur Literature Festival held in the city of Jaipur, India each January you are invited to take a ride around Asia with the region's most celebrated writers, thinkers and performers at the annual transnational celebration of cultural connections and new perspectives from 1 to 3 November 2019 at the Adelaide Festival Centre, King William Road, Adelaide.
JLF Adelaide will enable you to immerse yourself in talks, panels, performances and readings with music and join in conversations about myth, privilege, history, violence, gender, hope and peculiar places.
Join author in focus Hannah Kent in a conversation with Laura Kroetsch, the former director of Adelaide Writers' Week and now Program Director, Dark and Dangerous Thoughts at Dark Mofo, in the Quartet Bar at 12.45 pm.
Take a break and enjoy ABC Radio Adelaide with Sonya Feldhoff's live broadcast from the Star Kitchen and Bar.
At 5 pm, join Jack Buckskin for the Welcome to Country in the Banquet Room, followed by the Inaugural Address, Each Other's Stories with William Dalrymple, Sanjoy K Roy and Laura KRoetsch at 5.15 pm and Ghosts of the Empire, Shashi Tharoor and William Dalrymple in conversation with Sanjoy K Roy from 6 pm.
