extends alongside Scrubby Creek, between Demeio Park (Third Avenue, Marsden) and JJ Smith Memorial Park (Princess Street, Marsden). This stretch of land features pathways through bushland with occasional rest stops overlooking the water.
Bicycle riders and parents with prams will appreciate approximately 2.5 kilometres of wide concrete paths. Council has recently installed two rest areas, each with brightly coloured sun lounges under large umbrellas. Educational signage promotes awareness and identification of local wildlife.
JJ Smith Memorial Park is perhaps the most popular attraction within the recreation corridor. Families can enjoy wide-open grassy areas, two sheltered playgrounds and an observational deck with views of the widest section of Scrubby Creek.
The provision of toilet facilities, wood-burning barbeques and a carpark make this location ideal for picnics and extended play.
Parking is also available at Demeio Park or the end of First Avenue (Marsden).
