Jingili Water Gardens
Here, you can enjoy lush green and beautiful tropical landscaped gardens, including lily ponds and water fountains. During the wet season, there are little tadpoles swimming around the ponds and you can spot some birds in the garden.
Lush green everywhere
There is also a Community Orchard, which is a place for the community to come together to learn about growing fruit in this tropical city. Community members can help themselves to the fruit in the orchard.
Surrounded by a nature walkway and cycle paths, Jingili Water Gardens also offers a place that suitable for bike riding, scooter riding, and even in-line skating.
Shaded walkway and bikepath
There are two playgrounds areas that you can find in this water garden. One area is the old playground area with no shade and there is a new and bigger playground area near the carpark. The new shaded playground has boat theme.
The playground has sand on the ground with some areas covered with soft-fall mats. Plenty play equipment is available for both toddlers and older children. You can find swings, slides, obstacles, rock wall, wheelchair ramps, and liberty swing for special need children.
Jingili Water Gardens also has a skate and BMX park (on Trower Road side of park). While it is suitable for skaters, scooters and BMX riders of all ages and abilities, it is targeted mainly for those with intermediate skills. It is important to note that all skaters under 10 years of age must be supervised by an adult.
There are plenty of undercover picnic tables and sitting areas that can cater for large groups around this water garden. You can find some drinking fountains, a public toilet near the playground and a lot of parking spots with some areas under the shade of big trees.
