While most hotels around the world tinker with delivering a better quality high tea like Stamford Plaza in Melbourne, Australia or refined pastries at Pan Pacific in Singapore, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, the owner and operator of some of the world's most prestigious hotels and resorts has repeatedly taken afternoon tea to a fashionable level that continues to win fans among the stylish socialites, "tai-tais", fashionistas and foodies.

Located in the heart of the financial and luxury shopping district of Hong Kong, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental has become well known for its afternoon tea collaborations with luxury fashion brands like Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Jo Malone. This April, the hotel will launch its latest afternoon tea with one of the world's most treasured luxury brands, Jimmy Choo. Whether you're a fashionista or foodie, here are 6 delicious reasons to make a date with the stylish fashion tea.

Jimmy Choo afternoon tea is inspired by Jimmy Choo's Spring/Summer 2013 collections, which highlights the haute gypsy glamour of the late '60s and early '70s. The collections reveal the fun-loving side of women by using rich and vibrant colors, embossed leather, fringes and tassels. The sexy stiletto heels, glamorous designs, great sense of style and colour, and exceptional Italian craftsmanship will all serve to inspire the hotel's culinary team led by Executive Chef Sidney Schutte.

So what can we expect from Chef Sidney and his team? They want their guests to touch and feel the 'Choo's in a completely new way. This means crafting edible miniature high heels with chocolate inspired by Jimmy Choo's Spring/Summer shoe wardrobe filled with bold and feminine shades, smoked salmon cucumber sandwiches made to resemble the design of the CAYLA clutch decorated with brightly coloured cream cheese pyramid studs, and a white chocolate bag filled with lychee rose and raspberry mousse based on one of Jimmy Choo's signature leopard print designs.

Some of the most fashionable-looking and delectable savoury and sweet items created for the fashion tea include Foie Gras High Heels on Crispy Brioche Bread, Ham Mousse Sandwiches with Savora Mustard, Chupa Chup Macaroon filled with Passion Fruit and Mango Cream, and Green Tea, Strawberry, and Yuzu Mousse Shooter, as well as the hotel's signature light-as-a-feather Ginger and Raisin Scones.

The setting for this stylish indulgence can only be the equally chic Adam Tihany-designed 2-level bar. One of Hong Kong's most fashionable hangouts, MO Bar is also famous for great music and performances delivered by world famous artistes including Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson and Harry Connick just to name a few in addition to its signature cocktails like the MO-Tox and Rose Petal.
