If you're a fan of foreign films and have enjoyed JIFF (Jewish International Film Festival) in the past, you'd know there are some pretty amazing films in that repertoire. In case you weren't aware, while you're waiting for the next festival in October 2020, you can fill that gap by streaming the best of festival's past on JIFF VOD.

If you especially need a laugh right now, Zero Motivation at a dysfunctional military base deep in the Israeli desert; The World Is Funny, a masterfully woven ensemble drama or The Wedding Plan, a quirky rom-com could be the right fit.

If it's a meaty and satisfying drama you're after, you could take a look at two of the recent box office hits of the king of contemporary Israeli melodrama; Avi Nesher. Past Life and The Other Story are available to stream and explores the complex nature of family. These critically acclaimed films are both thrilling and heart-tugging in equal measure with lush and vivid cinematography to support it.
