Anja Jagsch's main inspiration for her jewellery is nature in all its forms. She said, "I love the unexpected, unconventional, the unusual we find when we look close enough. In this upcoming workshop I will enable participants to create their own piece of jewellery. Through the ancient technique of wax modeling and casting we will be creating unique pieces."

She said, "Participants will be making a piece of jewellery out of wax or 'burnables' which is anything that burns nontoxic at high temperature. These pieces I will take to the casters and they will then be cast in silver, bronze or even gold if desired.
Pieces can be hand formed, carved, they can include materials like gum nuts, thick leaves like the ones in succulents or other found pieces of nature."
Anja is currently working at
Gray Street Workshop, a fantastic creative collective of eight jewellery artists. She joined the group in February this year and thoroughly enjoys having like minded creative people around her and influencing her current development of new work.
