Jet Boating in Fremantle

Pack a spare set of clothes (all will be explained...) and head to Fremantle!
As a veteran jet boater (seven voyages no less, all with jittery non-ocean going family members) I can say with certainty that this is one thing everyone should experience, at least once - (I'm addicted) in a lifetime.
The boat itself looks harmless enough, moored at The Boardwalk in Fishingboat Harbour, Fremantle. With everyone onboard, the safety demonstration is humorously but thoroughly run through, passengers are strapped in and provided with sunglasses. The boat then eases its way out of the harbour.
And then it begins...
Once let loose on the open ocean, the stereo is turned to maximum and the boat is put through its hair raising paces with high speed turns, slide outs and wake surfing.
Imagine ricocheting across the crystal clear waters off Freo at 70km/hr, then suddenly coming to a complete stop...
A wall of water envelopes the front of the boat and everyone is instantly, absolutely soaked... and they're all laughing too!
A seat at the front is highly recommended (in for a penny, in for a pound). Never have I, or my seafaring friends laughed so hysterically.
Luckily, the roar of the engine and the soundtrack drown out the screaming and copious expletives! You'll be grinning from ear to ear once you reach port.
This is the type of experience that will see you chuckling in a slightly crazed manner in the supermarket checkout queue months after the event.
The tours run all year round, seven days a week, half hourly. In hot weather it's best to book online.
Definitely have a set of dry clothes and towel waiting for you on shore. Once you've got your land legs back, it's nice to debrief in a local cafe or restaurant.
