Jet Boat Thrill Ride

A newcomer to Melbourne, I love exploring the city and sourrounds by day and night, finding bargains, learning new things, the great outdoors and Melbourne life in general.

Are you ready to scream?
If the grey skies are getting you down and you need an adrenalin fix, St Kilda Spinner jet boats could be the solution.

The boat departs from St Kilda marina and takes you on a 40 minute thrill ride around Port Phillip Bay at speeds of up to 35 knots.

Hold on tight as the boat whizzes along with a series of tricks, including fish tails and 270 degrees spins. The experience is amplified by the booming music inside the boat, possibly to drown out the screams!

The intensity does vary depending on the sea conditions but you are guaranteed an exciting ride. I must admit, by the end of the trip, I was feeling slightly worse for wear and my stomach did not know what had hit it.

The boat is fully covered so you don't get wet at all and can enjoy any season. It carries a maximum of 12 passengers and the skipper gives you a safety briefing and tells you a little about the design of the boat.

A jet boat ride is definitely worth a go. At $70 for one person, it is expensive so look out for special offers on voucher sites or consider for a special occasion.

Once is enough for me but I'd recommend it for thrill seekers and speed junkies.
