When I was in Perth for a holiday back in 2003, my mate Chris told me that I had to try Jesters pie. Back then, I was hardly a fan of pies and I had the impression that its probably unhealthy. But my oh my - was I wrong about Jesters. It is the best pie that I ever had! It's all handmade and cooked in stores daily with the freshest ingredients.
I can't recall which pie that I had in 2003, but these days I love their Nutty Chook and Pavarotti pies. The pie crust is oh-so-tasty even though the pies are 93% trans-fat free! I don't like the taste of beef, so I usually have pies that have chicken in it. Despite Jesters' use of lean chicken breast meat, the meat is tender and chewy. Their sauces are unique and definitely a hit with me. There are plenty of flavours to try. I bought a couple of their frozen pies so that I can enjoy them at home.
I didn't know that Jesters is a WA company either - i't's first stall as I found out recently was in Claremont opened in 1997. With 30 stalls located all over WA, you should give this "ridiculously tasty" pie a shot.
