The first thing that pops into my head when I think of the word Jersey Mike's is that ridiculous MTV show Jersey Shore. Thankfully, Jersey Mike's has nothing to do with this show and everything to do with subs. This is not like your usual sub place (think Miami Subs or Subway), Jersey Mike's is in a league of its own. The first thing I really liked about Jersey Mike's after talking to the owner of the one in Wexford was that this is truly a gracious company - at least for the owner of Jersey Mike's in Wexford anyway. They deal a lot with the different children's charities as well as breast cancer charities too. Of course this has nothing to do with my experience with their food, but it was a nice thing to so!
The Food: Jersey Mike's has every sub you can possibly think of. My favorites are the Super Club (Provolone, ham, proscuittini and cappacuolo), The Original Italian (Provolone, ham, proscuittini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni) Jersey Mike's Famous Philly (Grilled onions and peppers. Available with either Steak or Chicken) and the Grilled Pastrami Reuben (Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing). Make sure you get your sub toasted - it adds an extra texture that a non-toasted sub cannot even compete with!
The Atmosphere: This is a sub shop. It's not an Italian place, or a Mexican restaurant or anything fancy shmancy. The decor is "eh", but I don't think anyone goes in there and walks out because its plain looking on the inside.
Cleanliness: The only complaint I had was that the owner of this specific sub shop was caught using gloves when handling money and then a sandwich he made for me. I only saw this happen once and never again (especially after I said something about it!), but it is something for you to think about.
