Join Frankie Valli on a Musical tale of his life
The Jersey Boys is a 2014 Musical Biography film directed by Clint Eastwood. It tells the story of the 1960's pop and rock band Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. They were known as the most popular rock band before The Beatles. The movie's portrayal of the story is complete with the original Frankie Valli (Francis Stephen Castelluccio) as the executive producer. The film is based on the Broadway musical play of the same name that toured around the world from 2005-2011. It won the 2006 Tony award for best musical.
It's the story of four young men from the wrong side of New Jersey who form a band. The band had many name changes including 'The Four Lovers' before settling on The Four Seasons. Their were four members Frankie Valli (John Lloyd Young) on the lead singer, Bob Gaudio (Enrich Bergen) on keyboard, Tommy DeVito (Vincent Piazza) on lead guitar and Nick Massi (Michael Lomenda) on bass guitar.
The story gets right to the heart of the relationships that centre around the boys, with a tight bond to the mafia, gambling debts and family disasters. The Jersey Boys movie shows you the real people behind the songs.
The movie features music by Bob Gaudio and lyrics by Bob Crewe. Its the bands success story told by Tommy Devito featuring all the big hits including 'Sherry', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', 'Walk Like a Man', 'Dawn', 'Rag Doll', 'Bye Bye Baby', 'Who Loves You' and many more.
