Come and see top jazz artists at Kings Park
You can sit on the grass, chill out and relax while you listen to the sounds of jazz on a summer day. Mellen Events are proud to present Jazz On A Summer's Day - a new jazz series starring the best of Australian and International jazz artists in the beautiful surroundings of Kings Park & Botanic Garden.
This inaugural Jazz On A Summer's Day Show features Australia's own trumpet maestro James Morrison on stage with Wendy Matthews.
As well as these two iconic artists, joining them for this spectacular afternoon of jazz in the park is Vince Jones, the UK's leading female saxophonist, YolanDa Brown and Perth's own sensational Libby Hammer.
At Kings Park, you can bring along a picnic and enjoy some of the finest Australian and International jazz artists currently touring, and where better could you see a concert than our delightful Kings Park!
This concert will be on regardless of any weather situations and umbrellas are not allowed at this venue, so if it looks like rain, bring your poncho or raincoat.

ABOUT JAMES MORRISON All jazz followers will be familiar with James Morrison who is a virtuoso in the true sense of the word. Besides being a genius on the trumpet, this multi-instrumentalist also plays the trombone, euphonium, flugel horn, tuba, saxophones, double bass and piano.
He has performed all over the world for many years now, along with many of the legends of jazz. James Morrison's career thus far has been diverse and perhaps not typical of most jazz musicians.
This is a licensed event and all patrons, including minors and babies, must have a valid ticket to gain entry. Reduced price children's tickets are available for this show.
WHAT TO BRING
It is a good idea to bring a picnic rug and food hamper, jacket, sun hat, sunscreen, bottled water/soft drink and no alcohol is allowed.
General Admission ticketholders will be seated on the lawn and need to bring their own seat if desired/needed. Low back small beach chairs are recommended, as high back deck or camping seats will be put at the rear of the venue. There will be a seating area provided for those in wheelchairs.
People under the age of 18 years will only be permitted into the concert site if they are accompanied by their parent/ step-parent or legal guardian.
Only those with Platinum, Gold and Silver tickets have reserved seating and all other general admission tickets, even though they may have a number on them, will not have reserved seats.
BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE
There will be a shuttle bus services which runs along Lovekin Drive and May Drive from 4 pm till 7 pm, and these will pick up patrons at the lighting towers and drop them off at the main gate (Gate 1). Please note this is a ONE WAY SERVICE ONLY and it is requested that you give a gold coin donation for this service, with all proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House, Perth.
You will be able to buy a wide variety of food at the venue and you can get an idea of the types of food if you go to JD's Fast Foods.
It is also possible to pre-order hampers when you do your booking at Ticketmaster.
Strictly NO BYO alcohol and NO glass items, and no tables, cameras, videos, metal cutlery, bean bags, or sun shelters.
