Japanese Film Festival

Home > Sydney >
The feast for film lovers continues this weekend with the Japanese Film Festival running tonight and every night until the 9th of December (next Tuesday) at Greater Union on George St.

Tickets are $14 and need to be purchased in person from the film festival box office at the George St cinemas. I would imagine that for most of the films you will be fine buying tickets on the night, however you can check availability by calling (02) 9273 7431. Unfortunately it's not possible to buy tickets through the Festival or Greater Union websites.

You can view the schedule for Sydney here.

Japanese cinema is renowned for its unique imaginative landscape which is so different from the usual American and European output.

A great example is The Girl who Leapt through time (4pm on Saturday) for which you can view the trailer. Another is Monster X Strikes Back (8.40pm on Saturday) which looks like lots of whacky fun.

Why? Get a taste for some strange.
