The Janet Seidel Trio including David Seidel on bass and Chuck Morgan on guitar have been touring in Europe for the last several months, so it it a real treat to have them back in Sydney and doing a special show for Christmas.
Some of the trio's highlights in Europe were a packed house at London's famed Ronnie Scott's jazz club, two trips to Scotland, a long season in Northern Ireland and prestigious gigs across Sweden.
These talented musicians are music veterans, with more than 130 professional years between them. Individually, and as a group, they've played all over the world, backed numerous famous pop and jazz artists, won awards and accolades, represented Australia via Musica Viva and DFAT, had multiple CDs released internationally, and even had the occasional chart topper in Japan.
At Camelot Lounge, the trio will be performing their new repertoire, seasonal holiday songs, songs from 'Far Away Places', and duets with hip crooner Ben Jones. The Australian Financial Review said: "Jones' heart is back in the '30s and '40s. He's got the look, the songs, and he's got the sound."
The venue 'Djangos' is part of the Camelot Lounge and is cosy, intimate, beautifully lit and has some fantastic 50s memorabilia. The food is delicious and unpretentious and they do have gluten free options.
Come out before the holiday madness starts and have an incredible evening out hearing some of your favourite Christmas and Jazz tunes by the incredible Janet Seidel Trio.
