Hand Knitting was one of the many handcrafts to see a boom last winter - new knitters ventured from scarves to beanies, whilst experienced knitters took on garments a little more challenging!Jane Slicer-Smith sells her range of Signatur Handknits as both garments and knitting kits in NSW, VIC & ACT. You'll find her at Australian Artisan Markets in Sydney in May, at both the Woodstock Artisans Market at Burwood and The Coal Loader Market in Waverton. The In Style Pop Up Markets in Bowral and Turramurra include handmade shoes, bags and clothing. Jane's major event for Sydney is The Art, Craft & Quilt Fair hosting many hands-on classes from quilting to yarn crafts, along with craft supplies and displays to inspire.If you have your own needles, Jane packs the yarn and handmade buttons with the knitting pattern of your choice for you to knit your own garment. Markets and shows allow knitters to actually try on a finished garment before they even cast on!
