Nerang welcomes Jamie's Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen

Following its time in Burleigh Heads, Jamie's Ministry of Food Queensland Mobile Kitchen is now in Nerang! The kitchen classroom on wheels will be set up in Nerang for the next 5 weeks at Country Paradise Parklands.

Running for 5-weeks, Jamie's Ministry of Food run home-cooking courses are based on Jamie Oliver's beliefs about cooking and the associated impact on healthy living.

Bookings are open now for a 5-week Home Cooking Course commencing on Monday 9th of October, 2017.

The 'back to basics' cooking course is a hands-on cooking class led by a team of dedicated Food Trainers and local volunteers who cover information on ingredients, shopping, budgeting, meal planning and food preparation for basic cooking.

The program aims to inspire people to get back to basics in the kitchen. It's about teaching people to start cooking for themselves again by equipping them with some simple skills and knowledge to do so. The program inspires and empowers change in the way they and their families eat, and how they think about food.

Taught in a fun, social and relaxed atmosphere, the program is designed for ALL skill levels, and anyone aged 12 and over is welcome to take part.

Each week, you will learn how to cook simple main meals, desserts, salads and sides, using fresh ingredients.

You will all enjoy a freshly cooked meal in class AND take home a meal for two to enjoy at home!

Jamie's Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen will be located at Nerang Country Paradise Parklands: 231 Beaudesert Nerang Rd, Nerang QLD 4211

Day, evening and weekend classes begin on Monday 9th October 2017 with one 90 minute class per week, for 5 weeks.

Each class has a maximum of 12 participants and is completely hands-on so you get to see, smell, feel and taste everything that you cook!

Classes cost $20 per class ($100 per course), $15 per class for student card holders ($75 per course) and $10 per class for concession card holders ($50 per course). Bookings can be made via

I thought they were currently doing classes at Nerang. Are they doing another course there from 9th October?
