Situated in Centenary Square Parramatta
is a great place to have lunch. There is an emphasis on Italian style foods such as pizza, pasta and seafood but there are some good options for vegetarians and the food is fresh and of good quality.
It is possible to walk up and choose seating inside on under umbrellas in the square. Parramatta at lunchtime is great for people watching so we chose to eat outside where we could also keep an eye on our bikes.
A glass of Italian Pinot Grigio and a bottle of Peroni washed down our delicious meal that kicked off with a serve of
Tuscan-Style Chicken Liver Bruschetta.
The
Slow Cooked Lamb Rigatoni for $25.50 had a richly flavoured sauce but was not a heavy dish. The crunchy herbed breadcrumbs added a great taste and texture.
The
Super Food Salad was excellent value at $16.90, I chose to add a serve of hot smoked salmon for $4.50. The salad contained grilled avocado, beetroot, lentils, broccoli, ricotta, pomegranate, nuts and harissa. I was delighted with the generous serving and combination of flavours.
Other meals such as the antipasti board looked delicious and the blackboard specials sounded tasty as well. Children are well catered for with high chairs, colouring pencils, books and a range of meal options. Each item on the
Kids'Menu comes in two sizes $9.50/$12.50 with a shake-me salad and drink. What child could resist
Happy Chicken Lollipops followed by a
Gooey Chocolate Brownie or
A Jumbo Scoop of Ice Cream?
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed and the wait staff are friendly and non intrusive. You did not feel that you had to rush off just as you were not pushed to buy another drink or a dessert.
