While I had to wait in line for over ten minutes, it was worth the wait. The treats that I bought (a hazelnut brownie, a frangipane tart, a Jamaican ginger cake and a cherry ripe) were small, sweet, bite-sized packages of fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the myriad of flavours and textures on offer.
Sugary bites of fun: From back and then clockwise, the Jamaican ginger cake, the frangipane tart, the cherry ripe and the hazelnut brownie
The hazelnut brownie had an enjoyably fudgy consistency and was chocolatey and nutty in taste. The frangipane tart was melt-in-mouth soft and sweet. My favourite, the cherry ripe was so delicious, with its unique slightly bitter chocolate base and caramel overtones, that I will never buy the store-bought version again. Finally, the subtly (not) titled Jamaican ginger cake was a beautifully balanced gingerbread tasting delight, offset with a cute dollop of cream.
While I didn't get to taste the milly filly (it was sold out for the third week in a row), I had an otherwise great time. I highly recommend you come and try out Jamface by Poh.
