For the foodie community and culinary connoisseurs, the James Street Food & Wine Trail and Market Day on Sunday 28 July 2019 from 10am to 6pm at James St, Fortitude Valley is the culmination of the Food & Wine Trail event. A street-wide market, entry is FREE, so come on down and witness the precinct's finest chefs swap their kitchen for market stalls and serve up the finest quality picnic fare.
Whether you're after the Live Stage, Vibe Stage, or Jazz Stage, there's lots of tunes to chill to with local talented musicians, local DJs and Brisbane's finest jazz artists lighting up James street. Kid's Camp is also back to keep the little ones entertained. Kids can get their little green thumbs ready and become gardeners for the day. They'll be planting tomato seedlings in biodegradable pots all under supervision and guidance.
Head to the pop-up kitchen (in the carpark near Harveys Bar and Bistro) if you're looking for tips and tricks from James Streets head chefs. Live cooking demos will teach you the secrets behind Bucci, the spices that enrich Gerard's Bistro Middle Eastern dishes and the Grecian secret to Hellenika's mouthwatering dishes. From 10-11am you have the Chef and Owner of Bucci Restaurant and Bar Shaun Malone; 1-2pm - Executive Chef of Gerard's Bar and Gerard's Bistro Adam Wolfers and 2-3pm - Executive Chef of Hellenika Bryan Kelly. It's going to be pretty full on day of food, fun and enjoyment.
