Imagine you are in a Tropical Paradise
This café is in the quiet end of the Greensborough Shopping centre just one level down the escalators from the food mall.
I have never had any trouble getting in and there is a range of seating options. I like the comfy little club chairs at the coffee table. They are perfect for coffee and cake but they are a bit tricky to eat at if you are having a meal.
Today we went for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by how cheap the kid's meals were. Milkshakes were $4. They were sweet and large for kids. You can buy a kid's sandwiches from $4. Egg on toast was just $5.50. It was runny, sunny side up, just the way my daughter likes it.
My mum had already been to the Jamaica Blue so she already knew what she wanted. Her selection was a miniature egg and bacon frittata. It wasn't really that small. Perfect size I'd say for lunch. This also came with the dressed salad. My mum commented that she wished she could make a dressing like that.
To give you an idea of the other prices I have selected a few menu items. The vegetarian breakfast is $14, two slices of fruit toast $5.80, salads from $10.90, bacon and egg sandwich $10.50.
Signature and organic coffees are from $3.60, Wallenford coffee is from $5.30. Last time I went there I enjoyed a nice hot chocolate although it could have been hotter. In their defence I really like my food and drinks very hot.
We didn't partake in any cakes or biscuits but they looked very nice indeed. The lemon tarts looked stunning. I can't believe I forgot to get some to take away. Oh well that's an excuse for another visit.
The service was timely and the food was delivered with a smile.
