Jacob's Creek Barossa Marathon, Sunday 25th May 2014
The "Jacobs Creek Barossa Marathon" starts at the Faith Lutheran School, Magnolia Road Tanudna and ends at the Faith Lutheran School. The Marathon goes from 6.30am to 12.00 noon on Sunday 25th May. At the end of the event there will be a live band and catering.
You can choose to run or walk the marathon, half marathon, 10km or 5km events. Everybody is welcome! The course starts at the Faith Lutheran School, then the course will take participants through the Barossa Valley vineyards and wineries.
Entries for the Marathon close on Friday 23rd May at 12.00 noon. Online entries are now open. No entries will be taken on the day.
The charity partner this year is
Muscular Dystrophy South Australia. The Jacob's Creek Barossa Marathon organisers are very proud to assist Muscular Dystrophy South Australia in their efforts to support people living with neuromuscular conditions in SA & NT.
There are currently no cures for Muscular Dystrophy. The services that MDSA provide are invaluable to the over 20,000 people living with the condition in Australia.
The fundraising efforts of the Barossa Marathon Running Festival Muscle Team will be used to provide support to children and adults living with muscular dystrophy.
Muscular Dystrophy SA provide essential services such as therapies, respiratory aids, counselling, respite camps and advocacy.

The South Australian Road Runners Club are involved in The Barossa Marathon Running Festival. The South Australian Road Runners Club rely on volunteers to do some of the tasks required during the running of the marathon.
Do you want to get involved as a volunteer and help to make the day safe and enjoyable for the 2000 runners and walkers taking part? The South Australian Road Runners Club are currently seeking expressions of interest from people who are available to help out on race morning in the following roles:
Start / finish marshals
Course marshalling
Drink station attendants
Timing chip collection
Finisher medal distribution
Lead cycling
Time commitments, if you would like to volunteer, range from between 1 - 5 hours, with the earliest shifts commencing at 5:45am. All volunteer shifts will conclude by 1:30pm.
