I'm new to writing, hope you enjoy reading my reviews.

Welcome readers. I watched Jack Reacher last night at the cinema with a few friends and the feedback I received from them was quite similar to my own opinions, so I thought I'd really need to write a review about it.

Jack Reacher was written by and directed by Christopher McQuarrie and the book was written by Lee Child, however the film is based on Lee Child's book "One Shot". The film stars Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher and Rosamund Pike as Helen.

The plot of the film is that in an innocent city, five random people are shot dead by an expert sniper. The police are quickly on the scene, they find and arrest the culprit. The accused man claims he is the guy who shot the people dead and says to get Jack Reacher. Suddenly he falls into a coma and his lawyer, Helen (Rosamund Pike), must find a way to get him off death row.

Jack Reacher sees the news report and decides to take the accused man a visit in hospital, but not to help him, to bury him. The police ask Jack Reacher who he is and why the man wanted to see him, but Jack Reacher won't answer them as he is off the radar. Jack Reacher and Helen work together to prove the man's innocence (if he is innocent), however he runs into more trouble than he bargained for.

Are you hooked yet?

If not, then you probably really shouldn't watch this film. I have to say I didn't really enjoy this movie. I mean it wasn't terrible, but it could have been better. At the beginning of the film, you are nearly instantly looking through the snipers scope as he picks off five random targets. From there on, for about 20 to 30 minutes, it's a very slow progression through the film; me and my friends all thought that this was quite boring to watch and were waiting for it to pick up again.

It eventually did, but what I felt from the trailer that it was that it was going to be full of action. The action itself wasn't brilliant as it is short fight scenes and very long car chases that made you think 'come on ,you've already rammed his car how many times just shoot him' or 'well, that was quick'. It didn't really have that balance of getting to know the story and the action side of things.

I have to admit that we found that some parts were funny, like little remarks Jack Reacher makes to other characters, but not enough to keep you saying 'yeah, that was a great film'. The storyline was pretty good as it makes you try and guess what was going to happen and why did the sniper kill the people at the beginning.

Overall, the film could have been better. It's a film to watch once and not again in my opinion. I don't think its really worth the amount you pay at the cinema. I think most people should wait until it's on DVD and buy it cheap from Amazon or eBay.

I don't think there are any faults with the acting in the film but there definitely should have been more action. The film is a 12A so nothing to bad is shown, not much blood and a lot of people being shot, but again you don't see much blood, except for photos of the people at the police department.

Thank you for reading, go and see the film for yourselves and tell me what you think about it.
