Forget beer, for the next six weeks Perth will be the home of Jack Daniel's, the iconic whiskey from Lynchburg, Tennesee. Moving into the Merrywell, the Jack Daniel's Barrel House will be paying tribute to the flavours of the south with a celebration of food and drink.
Already well known for its American-inspired dishes including Mac & Cheese Balls and Lollipop Buffalo Wings, the Merrywell is a natural home for the authentic flavours you will be experiencing with Jack Daniel's glazed ribs, smoked brisket with baked beans and corn bread paired with specially crafted drinks, like whiskey cocktails. Naturally.
Chris Harris, General Manager of Food and Beverage at Crown Perth (ie the Food Dude) says that the Merrywell is ideal for the Barrel House - "it's our hero pub – and the relaxed atmosphere that we all know and love is as close to good old Southern hospitality as it gets… so it is a natural fit for American 'dude-food' with a twist.' A whiskey twist.
Over the six weeks guests will not only be treated to the whiskey inspired menu, but a full program of live music and entertainment every Friday to Sunday. The launch of the Barrel House on February 23rd will showcase local DJ duo Burke & Wills as well as NSW indie alt-rockers The Vanns.
