Toe tapping in the purple haze
The leaves have at last stopped falling and the new shoots are unfurling, but more colourfully my Jacaranda is coming into full bloom and there is nowhere I would rather be than on my deck looking out at it. Well, maybe there is one place I will put in the diary because it is more of the same, only better.

On Sunday the 23rd of October there will be Jacarandas and Jazz at New Farm Park - this is a free event organised by Brisbane City Council and it is on from 1- 4pm.

Go along with your blankets and your hampers, take out those summer frocks and sandals and have a little toe-tapping afternoon.
