Izba Espresso, which opened on the Redcliffe Peninsula in July, has been on our list of places to try.
This morning, blessed with fabulous Spring weather and hungry appetites, we were keen to try out this new cafe. Izba Espresso is located by the lake new the Sales office of the Newport Development at Redcliffe.
An ideal location for a cafe, it is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Friendly staff greeted us and the cafe is set up next to a children's playground - it is a great place for something to eat or just coffee and very child-friendly.
The seating is outdoor with limited undercover, so choosing a nice sunny day was a good idea for us. The menu was quite comprehensive for a small place. My husband and son both choose the Mini Breakfast which consisted of poached egg, bacon, spicy chipolata, grilled tomato with Turkish bread ($12). It was a good generous serve, which satisfied the boys.
We were happy with the appearance and the taste of the dishes and glad to have chosen what we did. Since we were trying somewhere new, I decided to try something different so I ordered a dirty chai (Chai tea with a shot of espresso) which I was delighted with my choice.
