I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Head in for a hoedown
A favourite place for Manly locals to eat and drink at The Ivanhoe Hotel has a cool relaxed vibe behind the beautiful heritage facade. Originally located in Ivanhoe Park, on the corner of Sydney Road and Belgrave Street, the Ivanhoe was the first licensed hotel in Manly. It was relocated, rebuilt in the 1990s and refurbished in 2013.
All day pizzas & burgers are available from 11:30am, but the bistro has specific opening hours for lunch (11:30am-3pm) and dinner (5:30pm-9pm). Order at any bar and take a seat on the verandah. where you while away a few hours taking in views of The Corso, whilst partaking of a cocktail or beer or two.
The menu is eclectic and offers options for everyone including vegetarians and those that can not eat gluten. The brisket was flavoursome and juicy and the addition of the pickle cut through the fatty richness of the meat.
