On Sunday 2 June, the MS Walk and Fun Run commences at Park, Milsons Point, New South Wales&hl=en&sll=-33.796924,150.922433&sspn=1.572592,2.458191&oq=bradfield&hq=Bradfield Park, Milsons Point, New South Wales&t=m&z=16 Bradfield Park Milsons Point, Sydney (time to be confirmed when you register).

All you will see will be a wall of red as red is the colour of the day. Prizes for the best red dressed group and individual are up for grabs.

This is not just a run, it is an opportunity to raise awareness and much needed funds to help MS sufferers. The mission is to say goodbye to MS by raising funds and having fun.

The fun run will kick off at the northern side of the Harbour Bridge at Bradfield Park and will head towards the Harbour Shores of Lavender Bay, continuing to Balls Head Reserve, Waverton. Run the residential streets and finish along the Boardwalk of Luna Park. It wont just be Luna Park smiling as you sprint the final metres - as we run the eight kilometre course, we pass through North Shores' picturesque parks, reserves and shore line.

Competitors, race your previous years times with the professional chip timing system, which is placed on your shoe (show your bib number at the tag collection station before the run). It's a great way to get fit and healthy and, don't forget, to have fun along the way.

You will encounter a few challenging steep inclines on hills, steps and terrain is uneven in sections. A high level fitness is required for the run.

If you can't run, they are always seeking volunteers for the day. Support the runners along the way by encouraging and cheering them. This is such a worthy cause.

10 000 people each year from Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne get involved in this fantastic cause. Be part of it. Help raise money and awareness for MS. Let's bring it out of the shadows and raise money to eradicate this debilitating disease. The more money raised the better.

If the run is not your cup of tea, then maybe the Fun Walks from Hyde Park may be more your style. Either way, competing or not, Hyde Park is going to create some noise with celebrations of all competitors and supporters. Bradfield Park participants are also invited to join in the festivities at Hyde Park.

Entry for the run is $35 for an adult, $23 for a child, $69 for one adult and two children or $93 for family of four. Numbers are limited and registrations close midday Tuesday 28th May.

What is MS? Multiple sclerosis is a disease that attacks the central nervous system. Approx 23 000 Australians live with MS, with 1000 more every year diagnosed. Women are more affected than males and patients are between 20 and 40 years of age on average when diagnosed. No two cases are the same when it comes to MS. Patients, family and friends all face the hard road finding a cure and funding for this horrible debilitating disease.

MS Australia, have been organising and fundraising for years. This is our opportunity to give back as the caring Sydneysiders we are.
