I am so thrilled to finally see the best late night talk show, which is live on an improv stage that is, in Melbourne.
It's Talkie Time with Jackie Lime is an affable, funny, strange but above all great entertainment. It is hard to explain yet easy to explain... you go to the Improv Conspiracy at the Loop Project which is upstairs from the Loop bar. And are transported to a live talk show, which is sort of a sketch send-up of a talk show.
With his great stage presence
There are real guests - this time, a transgender comedian from Perth. Someone who may or may not have been Banksy (my thoughts are not) and Jackie Lime's own mother coming up on stage to bother proceedings (who for some reason has a New York Jewish accent, even though Jackie's is Australian). But all of this and so much more is what makes it so much fun and put together so well!
The Intriguing Guests
Beware of imitations because apparently, this may be the last time we see Jackie Lime in his talkie time as next year, please don't let it be true, that there is a girl talking over Talkie Time - but her name doesn't even rhyme!
The Loop Improv Conspiracy Space is always putting on some great shows though, most nights of the week. I would advise you to check them out and maybe beg them for your chance to see It's Talkie Time with Jackie Lime sometime next year!
